Finding God

Can God Forgive Me?

If you are carrying guilt and wondering whether God could ever forgive what you have done, the Bible's answer is yes. No sin is too great, too dark, or too repeated to be washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ. God delights to forgive every person who comes to Him in honest faith.

Guilt can make a person feel beyond reach, as if they have finally done the one thing God will not pardon. But Scripture tells a different story. The Bible is full of deep sinners who found full forgiveness, and it holds out that same mercy to you today.

God's offer reaches even the worst sin

God does not grade sin the way we do. To Him, no stain is too deep to remove. He says so in His own words.

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."Isaiah 1:18

That is a promise of complete cleansing, not a partial one. White as snow means nothing held against you.

He saves the ones who feel like the worst

The Apostle Paul had persecuted and harmed Christians before he was saved. Yet he became living proof that God forgives even those who feel they are the chief of sinners.

"This is a faithful saying... that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief."1 Timothy 1:15

If God forgave Paul, your sin is not the exception. It is exactly the kind of thing the cross was for.

Forgiveness is full and final

When God forgives, He does not keep a hidden record to bring up later. He removes the sin entirely.

"As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us."Psalm 103:12
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."1 John 1:9

He will not turn you away

Maybe the hardest thing to believe is that God still wants you after all of it. But Jesus made a promise to everyone who comes to Him, and He has never broken it.

"...him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."John 6:37

You do not have to fix yourself first. You only have to come. If you will trust Jesus Christ as your Savior, your sin can be forgiven today, fully and forever. If guilt has been weighing on you, please reach out. We would be honored to pray with you and point you to the One who washes every sin away.

You do not have to carry this alone

If you are wrestling with this today, we would count it a privilege to talk and pray with you. There is no judgment here, only the hope of Jesus Christ and a friend to walk beside you.
